Relevant authorities have a 90-day period to adopt a decision on providing a residence permit for the purpose of business. The countdown starts right from the moment of submitting your documents in a relevant department of Migration police that are responsible for making the final decision. Taking into consideration the fact that the decision on providing a temporary residence permit can be dependent on other state bodies and local government agencies (in case Migration police consider necessary to apply to these institutions) sometimes the indicated deadline can’t be met. In this instance Migration police don’t interrupt the procedure until they get the necessary decision from a respective institution.
Being provided with a temporary residence permit on the territory of the Slovak Republic foreigners are faced with the following regulations:
- Within 30 days of receiving a residence permit foreigners must provide a health insurance valid for the territory of the Slovak Republic
- Within 30 days of receiving a residence permit foreigners must provide an official document of a competent medical institution confirming they don’t have any diseases that can pose threat to people in the Slovak Republic.
- Within 60 days of receiving a residence permit foreigners must provide a business registration certificate or a registration certificate of a foreign legal entity in case they aim to start a small business in Slovakia
