Ukrainian team becomes one of the finalists of Google AdMob Student App Challenge

Ukrainian team Turbo Rocket Games came through to the final of Google AdMob Student App Challenge with its application – Dragon Sim Online. This information comes from the official Google Ukraine blog.

Google AdMob Student App Challenge was announced in January 2016 . All teams had to create an application that would reflect their talent and skills and would be monetized in AdMob.

Turbo Rocket Games is an independent game development studio from Kyiv. The team consists of 4 people: manager of the team (Vladimir Duchenchuk), game designer (Yaroslava Girilishena), programmer (Ilya Bakurov), backend developer (Sergey Dotsenko).

All of them are students of Kyiv Mohyla Academy, faculty of computer science. The studio develops and produces qualitative mobile simulation games.

The finalists were selected in 4 regions – North America, Europe/Middle East/Africa, Asia/Pacific region and Latin America.

According to Google analytics the application of the Ukrainian team has been downloaded 500 000 times, while users have written over 10 000 comments.

Every member of the team of regional finalists will get a tablet Pixel C and a ticket to the final stage of the competition. The winner of the competition will go on a week-long trip to San Francisko and will attend Googleplex (headquarters).
